Screw wont stay in seat

Just wondering if there was a way to fix if theres a way to make the top screw of the seat belt guide actually thread back into the seat or if its hopeless. right now i can only shove the screw in and fave it fall back out when im on the road.

The guys are using the drywall anchors you can get at Home Depot. Find one that will push into the hole and screw in your screw. They say they hold great if you get the right size.

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

i am having the same problem but my headrest was recovered and i can't even locate the bottom hole.. the top is the only one i can lacate with my finger. it seems as though the plate with the holes is bent or crooked. the holes are straight up and down right? i will use the anchors if i ever find the holes.

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

I'm sure they are straight up and down,if you got the top one in,use it as a template to find the bottom.

If you hold the back of the seat straight up,it looks to be even with the contour of the seat.

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

THANKS, it seems as though i was not following the contour of the seat, so it was not on the right angle. also, I thought the guides pointed forward not back.. (although i dont think it matters)
PS.nice TA, I had a friend with one just like it bird on hood too right?

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

Thanks for the comment!!! the seat guides do point to the rear not forward,I think they would get in the way if they were facing forward.Try using a nail or something pointy were you think you found the hole,if you mess up,stick a plastic anchor in the hole with a matching screw(just make sure the guide will cover it)Good Luck

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

GOT THEM ON!! just looked a little harder for the bottom holes. the passenger side tightened right up. I had to use a larger screw on the top of the drivers side but it worked great. it's going to be nice not having the belt flap around!.

the weather is changing for the worse here in michigan so my cruise days are limited!!

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

I take the headrest covers off, either hammer & dolly the holes tighter or weld em up and redrill them, if the screw holes are super loose..

Re: Screw wont stay in seat

I have them on but I pointed them towards the back.. all the pics i've seen of camaros have them pointing forward.. it doesn't look bad and i hate to take them off now. any opinions?
