:( Rodents....
So I have not been driving my firebird lately for about one month now. I am waiting on some parts and just to keep it "safe" or so I thought... New carpet and seats and I walk in the shop building to discover rodent droppings all effing over the inside. The hood has been left up the whole time but no obvious rodent signs underhood. Left my windows down in the car so my bad there I guess... Turned shop fan and light on, leaving it on overnight, found a sticky glue trap, put in the car. I am pissed. Extremely pissed. All the rodent **** is dry and didn't ruin the interior I am praying but how do I keep the ****ers out???

Re: :( Rodents....
A squirrel got into the wiring on my wife's HHR. The stupid thing chewed through 2 wires going into the plastic intake (temp sensor and what not) and the stupid thing wouldnt run because of it.
We were moving to Nellis AFB when this happened from Texas. Good thing I brought some basic wiring tools just in case.

Rats got in my dads 42,000 mile 85 Corvette and it REAKS. Good thing there is no engine in it! My brother never put dryer sheets in it like my dad said too.

Re: :( Rodents....
Because it was in my "secure" shop building. Never had issues prior, had many a rig in there. Including my topless/door less Bronco that never had a dirty/spoiled interior. My Firebird always has the windows down so never thought to roll them up. Hoods always up cause I'm always doing something to it. Shop/garage ya know?

I don't think the mice needed to get in through the doors or hood. I would place baited traps a certain distance away from the car so that they are not attracted to it.
These are pretty effective, easy to set and reusable. You should be able to get them at any local hardware store.

Re: :( Rodents....
Thanks for the suggestions, we're going to give them a try in the morning I guess. Took a vacuum to it already.
As for paranoia, after my 1991 Bronco, with it not having doors half the time, or the top all the time, I never had to "lock" my doors haha, so I fell into the habit of never rolling my windows up or locking up. Oh well lol, Mebbe me not being paranoid enough I deserve what stupid gets?
