Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
Nothing really fancy but it sure get's a lot of WOW looks and comments. Stock kinda look but only the freshly apholstered seats are actually stock 'PMD seats'. The rest of the interior was converted to black with parts from different years. Dash and console from 89 GTA, converted to power everything with all new switches including signal lever and hazard button. New 6 speed console logo in the works 'working on conversion' hehehe. Only thing not replaced YET, is seat belts.

Thumbs up on the kick panel! How do you plan to overcome the clearance issues on the drivers side with the clutch? It's going to be a tight fit.

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
Love the little touches such as the red stitching and the floor mats with the red 'birds.
Have you considered painting the gauge cluster and the console black? From looking at the photo I think that would complement the rest of the interior.
BTW, also like the clever way of covering the window crank hole. And PMD seats are so "right" for a 3rd gen Firebird. I am still quietly looking for a pair of front buckets in decent condition that will not push me over the "fiscal cliff."
Good job!

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
The crank hole covers are correct for 82 and VERY hard to find. The door panels were done about 14 years ago and didn't get the red stitching treatment that they will get once i redo them uh-gain but, i thought the crank hole covers looked cool so i put them back on. I've never seen a GTA style dash-console in all black but it would look cool. Because these areas are prone to wear i have not considered painting/dyeing them. I know what you mean about fiscal cliff. I've been working on this bird since 1996, little by little by little. hehe Just recently got a 6 speed and it will be months before i can afford to put it in.

What about a clean stock vert interior. I said wow when I saw it. Wasnt as impressed when I found out it's not original. Someone along the way swapped it. Originally it was flame red. Some day it may be looking like that sweet RS interior posted prior.

I have a 70's superior 500 steering wheel in mine, and all of the cheap gauges will be replaced, the water temp and oil pressure will be autometers and the tach will be a rare vintage 60's sun tach on the dash (pictured below)

Don't know if this qualifies as "WoW", but I had my door panels redone. I had some minor changes done and I like the way they came out.
The camera flash makes the dash look lighter than it actually is.

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
You paid to have them redone & they didn't fix the one thing that has always annoyed me about those panels? The grey vinyl trim piece around the grey panel separating the grey from the black above the arm rest that goes vertical but stops 1/2" away from the edge of the top trim below the glass. That has always bugged me & appeared that GM dropped the ball when they built them that way.

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
I bought them here on TGO a few years ago. They pop up from time to time, you just have to keep your eyes open. When they do come up for sale, expect to drop about $100-150. It might not seem like it, but it is worth it. Completely changes the whole look of the dash without any modifications.

lots of really cool interiors. Has anyone ever used carbon fibre cloth, I mean the one where u need to epoxy/resin etc, not the sticker overlay.

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
I have a couple cool things going on with the interior.
First is a custom billet CNC'd dash emblem made just for me.
Then there's the Aeroforce Interceptor gauge that's mounted by my AEM Uego wide band. The Interceptor is the single coolest gauge on the market. It reads anything that the computer can show (RPM, Speed, MAF reading, IAT's, knock, check engine codes, water temp, volts, even has a plug on the back to hook up Aeroforce's wide band kit but I wanted that on a seperate gauge).
I also put red LED's in the stock cluster, although I now wish I would have went with the red display on the Interceptor gauge because I can change the wide band to red with the turn of a **** on the back, and then I'd have an all red interior....Oh well...
Overall it's just a clean, mostly stock interior though. These are pictures before the wide band and the dash emblem...

I love that emblem, must have cost quite a few pennies...

Thanks! I ordered them from an ebay store. http://stores.ebay.com/2004momo?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 There's a link to check them out! I had to do some grinding and use some spray adhesive, but it was worth it.

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
Thanks! It's a BIG improvement. They came with this huge intensity **** that switched the glow from green to blue. The green looked like crap so I set it to blue, tucked it in the dash, and hard wired it to the illumination circuit (brown at switch).

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
I got rid of it about 6 years ago and it was just hanging on the wall in my garage. I used a plastic cap, sanded the grain out of the plastic and had it painted to match my stripes. It honestly looked pretty cool, but it ended up warping in the staging lanes at the drag strip and ruined my mint dash pad under it, so I took it off and got a new dash pad ?

They are also no secret. Just type "camaro gauge faces/overlays" into ebay and take your pick which works for you

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
your car is nice, idk if i should get these, i would prefer green or a kind of pinkish glow like the wrx imprezas gauges. and i'd like accurate ones too lol so the stock ones pretty much gotta go, they do look BA though, i'm wondering though you said grinding/spray adhesive was needed?

Re: Anyone have a "WoW" factor in their interior (post pics)
The over lays have tabs that extend over the edge of the guage face and they are very stiff so grinding down the edge of the face so they lay flat with 2 sided tape to hold them works, otherwise they lift and obstruct the needles. I have the indiglow set that switches blue or green. they are very bright so I am glad they came with a dimmer.
