'89 GTA, New Leather Seats and T-Top Inserts
Great experience. She does great work. Many people have complimented the factory look of the new covers. Princess was nice enough to even install the front covers (I shipped the front seats to her, cost about $70 each way).
I installed the rear covers myself. Purchased a pair of hog ring pliers and hog rings.Wasn't too bad once i got the hang of how to get the ring to grab both the cover's bar and the foam's bar at once.. took about 20 rings or so before i got the hang of it. i will take some more pics of the seats INSTALLED this week, been busy.. Also got the T-Top inserts... a must get. They are awesome and the price is unbeatable.
Also installed a new windshield. The one that was in there was the original, took a bunch of pics of that job as well, didn't upload those yet.
If anyone is wondering, YES, the wife went ballistic about me assembling them on the only area in my house that has carpet lol.. too bad, not enough room in my garage with the car in there!

Those seats are stunning. Does she sew them from scratch, or are they pre-made covers? The Ultima seats are kinda wierd, not because of the inflatables, but because of the centre thigh support that flips up and down.

Did she recover your factory t-top shades? Or is she just selling them new?
My material is sagging bad on my covers...but I JUST took them out of factory GM packaging a few years ago. So the backer should be brand new.

I don't recover the t-top shades. I make new ones and they are exactly like the factory ones.

The seat covers are made from the factory patterns. I make them myself and they are made to order.

Tony how are your seats working? Ever had the bladders fixed or anything? Just wondering if anyone knows how to fix them or knows where to get new parts. Mine don't stay inflated.
Seats look amazing btw

Re: '89 GTA, New Leather Seats and T-Top Inserts
i did have to snake the upper seat back hoses through the lower seat cushion to the pump though. an electrical snake/electric tape made easy work of it.
Yeah Princess, I love GTA's too.. look like they're going 100mph sitting still
Just the nicest shape of Trans Ams ever made imo. hate the 91-92 noses (especially GTA side skirts with the upflair) and the lesser cars just don't have that look. Only one nicer?? the TTA's and that's because it's powered by buick lol
Drove my friend's 24k mile TTA yesterday (getting some work done at my friend's performance shop in Toms River).. WOW what those things can do.. worth every penny.

work perfectly (again, knocking on wood lol) i was worried about the dismantling of the seats/electronics, air bladder hoses, systems etc. but was for nothing, it all went back like no big deal. almost idiot proof actually.

Tony - I have a question about the t top inserts. How is the color match to the original headliner in your car? I am going to get a set, and the covergirl wanted me to send her a swatch of the original fabric for my TTA inserts (beechwood) but if yours match good I can just get the same color.

Re: '89 GTA, New Leather Seats and T-Top Inserts
they are the luxury version of the Fbody.. The camaro's get the speed that GTa lacks due to it's obesity lol.. although the quickest is still the stripper formula. having said that is more like saying which of the fat boys is skinniest lol. Cause man these things are so slow compared to our everyday newer cars. i'm convinced my '12 acadia would beat my TA!!

Tony, did you see my carmine cloth seats on her website? There's pics on here somewhere too. Everyone is amazed at how great they look, and they feel nice and firm.

Re: '89 GTA, New Leather Seats and T-Top Inserts
thanks guys. As for shipping the headliner? just a big box and alot of those foam peanuts. it's insured lol
Pics of the seats in the car? Yea, i'll post some up. surprisingly they don't look much different than the original seats until you get close up and saw the cracks in the leather on the driver's seat. my seats weren't in bad condition, i knew they needed to be reupholstered to be up to my standards though..
I just picked up a G8 tonight for a great price. I've been looking for a GTO or G8 for a while. This one needs some attention so the GTA is now on the backburner so to speak (it's really almost done imo).
Starting to get that feeling that i may put her up for sale by summers end if this G8 build goes right . looking for 11.9 on a street tire naturally aspirated. Starting out to look like it's gonna be a beautiful 2012!!
