Aftermarket Shift **** for Auto?
I just ordered my stock shifter and shift cable to get the B & M shifter out of the car. The shifter doesn't have the handle on it, I'd like to do get something nice and a little different from stock. Can someone recommend where to get one and as importantly, what kind I need? I found a million of them on the internet but they are all universal fit and those scare me a little, just not sure what will or won't work with the stock shifter in a 85 Camaro. Thanks.

some have grabbed from other gm autos, but there's not much out there for aftermarket auto shifter handles.
any reason for dumping the b&m shifter? i loved my megashifter in my last 3rd gen, toss the idea around about getting another one for this build

This is the only one I've been able to find. Not sure how it would work, but for $20 I might find out:

As for why I want to get rid of it...well, two reasons: 1) it seems old and worn out and definitely doesn't work right and 2) it was installed by amateurs so they just hacked up the stock shift cover, installed the shifter with two bolts and left it. So it looks bad and works bad.

I also have been wondering about this. I personally, think the automatic shifter in third gens Camaros is a really bad idea. I have imagined how easy it would be to knock it out of gear if you were messing around and not paying attention. However it seems to be really hard to find aftermarket shifters for automatic transmissions. Right off hand, I can only think of one that I saw at Autozone.
I preferably would like to find one where the shifter **** is on the side, if anybody knows of anything.
