ABS headliner came as a flat unshapen piece?

Alright so I picked up a abs headliner today and its just a flat piece of plastic?

I was under the impression that it would be somewhat shaped and contoured?

Are they all like this?

How do I install it?

Re: ABS headliner came as a flat unshapen piece?

first...take it out of box and let it sit out on a flat surface for it to regain all of its shape

second...they are very flexible when you put it in the car it will contour to the car once all the parts are installed around it

third... you install it starting with lining up the sun visor holes and work your way back

Its right perfectly flat though?

Do I have to shape it with a heat gun?

Anybody? It just looks like someone cut out the outline of a ttop headliner. I thought these where supposed to come somewhat moulded in the shape of the original headliner?

After it's been set out for a day, if it's still completely flat, call the place you got it from & tell them.
It *should* regain the desired shape after being in the warm sun for about 2 hours.
Where did you get it?

they usually come folded in half, but defiantly not totally flat, not by a long shot. if what you have is a perfectly flat piece, send it back and buy one elsewhere, its not right and/or sombody is trying to rip you off

Agree!! Return it for a full refund & take your business elsewhere!!
Unless they exchange it for a correct piece, & have them open the box and verify it's right before you leave.

The sad thing is I was planning on ordering a couple thousand dollars worth of parts through him after this as opposed to online. Not happy with the entire situation at all.

whos name is on the box? its possible he is just a retailer and he has nothing to do with whats int he box. It could be a messup by the manufacturer. Stranger things have happened.

call and ask questions

As Scott said, ACME is the maker here, IDK about up in the Great Whie North.
Sounds like they may have lost a good customer!!

Get ahold of CamaroSource, a member on TGO somewhere in Canada, maybe he can point you in the right direction???

Re: ABS headliner came as a flat unshapen piece?

I wonder if someone stacked it in the wrong area at the manufacturer & it accidentally got boxed before it went thru the forming process..?..
