hatch support problem

Engine: lo3 305 TBI
Transmission: 700r4
hatch support problem

today I was working on the interior and pulled the wire for the rear defrost off of the hatch support and the male end thats on the support broke off. Anyone have any ideas on fixing this? Whats stinks is my supports are not a month old.

You could fabricate a piece of metal in a bent "Z" shape to plug the terminal into, then secure it to the strut with a hose clamp.
