Why are my interior lights so dull?
I notice a big difference between the brightness if my dash/instrument panel lights on my '83 compared to my '89.
Even when I change to fresh bulbs. Any ideas?

Thanks James, you always have interesting links.
Does a schematic exist which tells us exactly where/how many/what type of bulbs we have in our interiors?

I don't know if this holds true for Camaros but on '82-83 Firebirds, to save cost, GM molded the gauge cluster out of blue plastic so the inside wouldn't have to be painted with reflective paint. It didn't reflect the light very well and with the dimmer control on max the gauges were still dim. That could be your problem.
