New here, I recently purchased my 1986 trans am, I am about to start on the interior restoration, I am looking to buy all new plastic clips for the interior moldings.Does anyone know where I can find them.

Most are available from any auto parts store - look in the HELP! section.

The only ones that I've ever had to get elsewhere was

1) plastic push clips that hold in the A-pillars - dealer has a complete set for $20
2) any color screws for rear plastics other than black - check ebay - black is available in HELP! section at parts store

You can also check our sponsors here, like TDS, Modern Day Muscle, Thirdgen Ranch, Hawks, etc. Also ebay - doing a search for "82 92 Camaro" will bring up everything (alot of pages). I know you are a "bird, but it's all listed under Camaro and so you get alot more ebay hits to search using Camaro and it's mostly all the same.

 

For the A-pillar fasteners Checker/O'Reilly sells Needa Universal Body Panel Retainers #456780.

They are white and a close match for the round GM fasteners in the diagonal part of the pillar trim. I had to dremel the ends a little for the three that go there. I also used them in the horizontal part of the trim with no modifications.
