The interior in my car is in mint conditon and I would like to keep it that way for as long as possible. From what I hear on these message boards, the sun fades the interior of the car. So, I am looking for sun shades for the windshield and hatch but do not know where to get them. Anyone remember where they got theirs? Thanks

 

Never seen anything large enough for the hatch - maybe look into getting that tinted.

For the windshield, I just use a silver sunshade from walmart, about $8. I have the one that is fabric on a wire frame that folds down and 'pops' open - 3 years old now and still works great.

There are sunshades available for the T-tops as well if you have them. They are basically heavy cardboard covered in fabric, and get mashed between the top and the car body. I've also seen folks make slightly smaller T-top shades and use velcro to attach to the top, that way you don't have to remove the top to insert.

 

Alright thanks camaronewbie. Where did you get the fabric one? I keep hearing about them on this site but never see them for sale.

 

I picked mine up on ebay several years ago. I never use them, my driveway is shaded (I get the pleasure of tree sap instead), and I rarely drive the car to work where it would sit in the sun all day (when I have to, I throw a $59 Walmart car cover over it that I keep in the raer hatch "glove box"). Most sunlight exposure it gets in at the local cruise-ins and car shows.
