How I fixed my broken seat belt receivers

I dont know about you guys, but I see all the time thirdgens with the plastic surrounding the front seat belt receptacles in pretty bad shape. Mine was no different, it was demolished. I'm in the process of covering most of my interior plastics in vinyl, so I figured I could make something for the seat belts as well.
I sewed this up using a few scraps of vinyl I had laying around. I put some sheet metal inside the "cuff" too to give it alot more rigidity. I'm no seamstress, I'm sure if I was and I had a machine, I could have done this in about 5 minutes. It took me an hour or so.

Heres the finished product. No pics in the car, my interior is out of the car at the moment. I kinda want to do something at the bottom, but you never see that anyways

Interesting idea....

My mom has spent WAY too much on her fancy machines, that can even be loaded with a graphic, hit Sew & it'll sew the whole graphic by itself!

She could definately make me a couple. I have extras she could take to use as size measurements & make me some too.

Re: How I fixed my broken seat belt receivers

yeah my mom has something similar. I moved out after high school, and it took her like a week to turn my old bedroom into her "sewing room". Her machine is more like a computer, takes a flash card with patterns and whatnot. I asked her to make me a few things and she told me she didnt want my vinyl jamming up her machine. I think she just doesnt want to contribute to my addiction.
