Power Hatch to a Manual Hatch Lock
MY powered hatch motor has been giving me fits. I was pulling a power steering box off of a '87 Camaro and low and behold it had a manual locking assembly.
I think it had been installed as non-factory part because it was being held in with screws and the upper "ears" were torched off.
If I drill out my factory spot welds, will the manual bracket fit right in? I'll probably use self-tapping screws then plug weld it in place. It looks like it'll fit ok

Re: Power Hatch to a Manual Hatch Lock
theres always the "popular" method that people always seem to find on these cars.....weld the part of the hatch that slides up and down to the rails.

Re: Power Hatch to a Manual Hatch Lock
you can weld the rails and it would be the same as the manual lock hatch? and if not where could you buy one?
