4th gen center console into 3rd gen
i have a gap in the very front of my 4th gen console on passenger side is this normal ?? also i wanted to put a new shifter **** on my automatic but wasnt sure if i can do that , it is the shifter that has the botton on top and not on the side

Are you talking about the gap under the cup holder?
If so, what I did to fix it...I stuffed something under the carpet over there to bump it out. I cant remember what I used. I might have used batting from a previous project. Made it look much nicer over there.
Not sure on your auto ****, but I think some guys remove the button mechanism and just put whatever **** they want on there. You wont have to press the button into shift out of park...which would keep me from doing it.

I'm finally installed my console the other day. I don't know if its the way I made the trans crossmember, but the shifter hits one of the supports. Reverse will be a chore to get into and I move the console when I attempt it. Are there any severe repercussions for cutting that particular support away?
Also, the ebrake latch gets caught up in the rubber surround.. is that normal too?
Ghetto, that's a great idea for hiding the ugly gap by the radio.
