86 TA speedo not working. Help?
Hi guys. My speedometwer stopped working in my car the other day. It's an 86 Trans Am with a 305 c.i. 4 bbl Rochester carb and a T5 transmission. What happened was that I accidently hit the switch on the dash that apparently is for a factory installed amplifier. I am running an aftermarket Venturer AM/FM/CD deck because the factory deck was completely dead.
Now what happened is when I hit the switch, my speakers "burped", the power antenna re-tracted and when I went for a drive the speedometer stopped working! The speedometer was working fine before my stupidity of hitting that switch. The power antenna now does not work anymore, no speedo, but my CD deck and speakers work fine... go figure!
Any insight would be appreciated as to what the problem maybe. I already went through my fuse panel with a test light and everything seems good. Thanks guys...

You should probably post this in the Tech/General Engine forum, the people there can answer the question better. I can't guess though as to what it would be, my first guess would have been a fuse, but you tested those, so I'm out of ideas for now. But like I said, try the other forum and you'll probably get more response for this.
