Interior Condensation/leak Problem??
Got a tough one here. I have a 90' Buick Lesabre that I rarely drive anymore. A few months ago I noticed a problem. Every few days the windows will fog up with so much water that it actually pools into drops and runs down all the windows. The dashboard is covered in condensation, along with the steering wheel, and even the carpet and headliner are soaked.
I suspected a front and rear windshield leak and pulled the headliner. I have not had a chance to run water over the top and see if there is an obvious leak. Today I went out to do this and the entire inside roof of the car was covered in condensated water droplets. Its not a leak thats causing that, every square inch of the interior was covered in these droplets. The carpet under the dash was moist but not really any more moist than the rest of the upholdstry. Its so humid in the car that mold has been forming all over and it stinks. I opened the windows today for about an hour and let it air out. Within 2 days or so it will be moist again.
What could be causing this? I live in a humid climate, but this much condensation, this quickly is abnormal.

The car is holding water somewhere. Check under the carpet (pull back a corner) cause the carpet has that rubber backing. I had a Grand Prix that held alot of water and didn't really show it. Check both passenger and drivers side front and rear low points. Im willing to bet you'll find water there somewhere.

Has it rained rescently, or within the last week or two? Have you or ANY one else driven through a big puddle? If your floors are rusty or have a hole, it suck it up from there and trapping it under your carpets. I've seen this happen to cars up here in the north........road salt = rust = holes.............TX, no salt, I know, but you could have a hole though without any rust!
I would still run water over the car just to make sure that the windows aren't leaking!
Good luck!

The 90 gets soaked underneath the drivers side rear seat, it seems as if it slides down, as it doesn't appear to be dripping in.
Either way, it's annoying to fix this sort of thing.

Re: Interior Condensation/leak Problem??
Sorry guys I forgot all about this topic. I found it. The windshield was leaking water, it has since been replaced as it was all cracked anyway. Also there was a small leak in the trunk area, which I repaired with a little bit of weather strip adhesive. Between these 2 leaks water was always puddling and evaporating and ending up all over the windows, roof and everything else. Wasnt as easy to find and fix as it should have been though....
