Rear defroster wiring
I am needing help with my rear defroster on my 87 IROC when I bought the car the rear window grid was all cut up so I bought a new rear window with the defroster and now I can not find the wires to hook this up the window has 2 leads coming off of it I hook them up to the bottom of the strut but I can not find any wires coming from the car just wondering if I could see some pics of one hooked up or if someone could help me figure this out?

Re: Rear defroster wiring
if your car came with defrost stock, there should also be little wires at the base (where the struts attach to the car) that connect to the struts. I'd check under the plastic, they probably just fell back in there...

I have taken all the plastic off and can not find the wires. Which side or on both do the wires hook up any idea on where they come from under the dash?

Re: Rear defroster wiring
Does anyone know where I can get the relay for the rear defroster? I can hear the relay behind my "performance suspension" badge click when I push my defroster button, can't find the relay anywhere. All the wires are connected.

Re: Rear defroster wiring
Has anybody had any problems with getting new hatch struts and then the wire from the glass defroster to the strut is too short now? Just the drivers side on mine is too short, wasn't a problem before. I will probably just have to put an extension on the strut to reach it. Any other ideas?

Re: Rear defroster wiring
I think I had that problem once (too short) I think I just got some pliers and just "flattened" out the piece on the strut to extend it a bit.
