Cluster for LS1 dash swap
Which cluster is best to use for an ls1 dash swap. I have a 98 set up ready to go but im curious about the gas gauge, I know the 97 used the 90 ohm sender which is the same as ours and the 98-02 got the signal from the bcm. For people who have used a 98-up cluster, is the gas gauge still accurate? thanks

Re: Cluster for LS1 dash swap
The LS1 gas tanks use a different ohm sender (check the lsx swap forum here) than the thirdgen 0-90ohm. So - you'd either have to use a different sender in your thirdgen tank or use the 4thgen tank.
My recommendation? Keep the thirdgen dash and make it work with the ls1

Didn't the LS gauges use a serial data line for the communications?
