Console swap?
Ok so my 3rd gen firebird console is horrible and its cracked. I was wondering if I can make the 3rd camaro console fit in my firebird. I know the camaro console is a one piece while my firebird is a 2 piece. If anyone has had experience with this please let me know thanks,

Get you a 4th gen console. Almost a 100% drop in ('94 -up) and you get the benefit of a cupholder. Besides, they look better anyways.

Re: Console swap?
Hm theres an option there, its just I can probably get a 3rd gen camaro console for free from a friend's parts car. I just wanna know if itll fit before I drive an hour to go pick it up. BTW stephan where did you get your sequential taillights? I want a set of those. LOL
To put a Camaro console in a Firebird, that is gonna take some cutting to get rid of the radio/AC pod. Then you'll hafta figure out how to dress up the cut portions, to make it look decent.

Re: Console swap?
i think he wants to put the camaro console in place of the firebird center console and radio pod. I plan to do the same thing if and when my car ever gets back from the paint shop. The one change that looks to be needed is where the console mounts to the dash. The camaro center console has one small metal tab on each side to attach the console to the dash assembly, and the firebird has the screw holes on the top of the radio pod (now the top of the camaro center console). So you have to fabricate a mount on the top of the camaro console to match up with the holes in the firebird dash where there radio pod currently mounts.
