Bolt in style racing seats...
Just wondering if anyone knew if there was any compaines out there (like sparco or corbeau) that offered 3rd gen F body specific racing seats, or will I have to buy a generic fit and fabricate some sort of seat mount for it? Thanks for any infomation!!

They all make specific brackets/mounts for our cars. I have Corbeaus and they bolted right in with their camaro brackets.

That's awesome, thanks for the reply! Do all the seat manufacturers have application specific seat brackets for thier seats? I assume that they ask you what kind of car the seat is going into and then they provide the bracket for you? I looked on some of the seat web sites and did not see any seat specifically for the 82-92 f body, nor did I locate specific seat brackets either. Once again, thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated.

I got some Corbeu CR-1s a few years ago, with the 3rd gen brackets. I love them, bolted right in, and they hold you so much better than the stockers. Only problem (for me) is that the brackets raise the seat 1-2" higher than stock, so if you're short, you get a better view out the front, if you are tall (like me, 6'3") you now are rubbing your head on the ceiling. Apparently, the 4th gen brackets will work just fine, and sit lower.

Re: Bolt in style racing seats...
you can make simple/quick metal tabs to allow corbeaus to bolt to factory seat brackets.
i have Corbeau Forza's using factory thirdgen seat brackets. I have power drivers side and manual passenger side. Fits like stock
2 rear rectangular metal tabs with holes spaced 1" apart and 2 front rectangular tabs with holes spaced about 1 1/4" apart center to center. BOlt one end of the tab to the seat brackets and the other to the racing seat. Works well. If using power seat bracket, you will have to cut/clearance it for the tab/bolts.

Re: Bolt in style racing seats...
Well, thanks for all the replies!! I looked at some of these companies. I am leaning towards the Corbeau seats. They have a *wide* seat that seems like it will fit me, and the cloth material that they use looks very similar to what is in my car right now. The seat bracekts should make installation a breeze. I do have one question though. For those of you that do have the Corbeau seats, does the seat bracket they give you allow the seat to be adjusted forward and backwards(ie. closer to the steering wheel or closer to the back seat)? The seats that I was looking at showed them as reclining only.

The Corbeau brackets have the sliders on them so you can slide forward and backwards.
