I just took my gadges apart, check behind the gages you will need to remove
the trim peice, screws that hold the gadge cluster in. Ther is a main power
feed going to a printed circut board. Or try disconecting the CD player
first maybe there is some kind of short somewere. Check power at the fuse
box too.

It could be a bad printed circuit on the back of the cluster............
You might be able to see a bad spot on the printed circuit if you pull the cluster from the dash. While it's out it will be easier to check it's condition. You could also pull each of the guages out 1-by-1 and test them to see if they are working. If there's a signal on the cluster plugs for each of the gauges ( when the car is running and warm ) and the gagues are tested to be functional - than the printed circuit is the problem !
