yep, I broke it

I was replacing the outer window sweeps on my doors yesterday. When I removed the inner door panel, the ineer window sweep (the rubber that monuts to the doors top rail) was seperated from the top rail. It looks like most of the molded in tabs have been broken for a while, but I am sure I broke the rest of them.

Any ideas on how i can get the rubber sweep to mount back onto the door top rail without the molded in tabs?

I was thinking of trying a pop-rivet or something, but thought I would check in first...

Thanks for any advice in advance

Re: yep, I broke it

i used a hot glue gun on mine . clothes pins to hold in place , and a small dab of glue on each pin . worked fine for me . also used same to repair small rips in cardboard panel . worked for me . good luck .

new top door rails and door panels would look great if you can afford it. very expensive though

Re: yep, I broke it

guilty of using rivits... it does work really well and i don't think the panels are going to try and seperate for another 20 years, lol.
