04-06 GTO leather seats in thirdgen?????
i was wonderin if anyone has ever put GTO seats in their cars. is it a direct bolton? if not how much modification would it take? i've seen the red leather seats off a GTO and they would look awesome and would match my cars red interior well. just wanted to see who has them

GTO seats are cool but the fact that the letters GTO are in the Seat Would make me not put them in my car...
And you would have to make new Brakets for them to make them fit.

I have an '04 GTO and can tell you these seats are awesome. I think they may be a bit wide for an f-body.

wat about the backs ones, those r awesome too. sure if u get rid of the GTO part in the fronts and replace it w/ Camaro or Trans Am. it would be better.

I doubt the seats would fit, even the rears.
KB- The seats are extremely comfortable. Probably some of the best I've sat it.

if you use 4th gen sliding tracks the front gto seats will fit...but ive found that using matching leather rear 4th gen seats work if you install the set in a third gen....i did it in my swap that way they are very wide but very comfotable

Re: 04-06 GTO leather seats in thirdgen?????
Has anyone tried the seats from a Honda S2000? They should be somewhat narrow (or at least narrower than a GTO?) since it's a small convertible roadster car. And because the S2000 is marketed for racing/track days/etc, the seats are built with good bolsters to hold you in place. I've never sat in one, but they look good and are available in a variety of colors.... Google image link
Or there are Miata seats, and Acura RSX seats. Both of these aren't as dramatically bolstered as the S2000 seats are, but are still more bolstered than most vehicles out there since they are sporty styled cars and not family sedans. I believe both are also available in your choice of leather or fabric. If none of these appeal to you, think of other newer or older cars that are sporty in nature and google their seats. Look up both foreign and domestic brands.
I hope these ideas give you other options to consider in case the GTO idea doesn't pan out for you. I'm sure you'll need to make custom tracks to attach any of these into a third gen.

Re: 04-06 GTO leather seats in thirdgen?????
I have front and rears from a 05 GTO in my 91 firebird. I would advise 4th gen rears because it is easier. But for the best looks use the GTO rear back, 4th gen rear bottoms, and GTO fronts. You can get the GTO embroidered over if it bothers you. I don't care but may one day.
Oh, and the front seats do fit with very minor drilling of holes and using the 3rd gen tracks. Rears are not for the lazy or mechanically challenged.
