sound deadener?

Any one know of a good material to install into the walls of my trans am under the carpet and plastic panels that will have a better effect on deadening the sound from escaping the car then the stock blockers from teh factory?

Check out the auto stereo shops. They have materials to deaden sound for the big stereo guys, although I'm not sure if it is to keep sound out or in for them. They should have sheets of different materials that you just apply to the inside of your body panels. Might be what you are looking for.

If you've ever watched "Overhaulin", they always install "dynamat" ( at least I think that'st what they call it) under ever square inch of carpet when they are putting a car back together...........i've seen it used so many times, I wil proably buy some and put it down in my 87 IROC when I change the carpet and seats. it works to insulate against noise and heat............

There are different types of Dynamat for different area and applications. You can buy rolls, spray for hard to reach areas, padded rolls for under the hood. It is a very good product. I have approx. three hunderd pounds of dynamat in my car.
