Interior on 85 IROC

Hello, i'm pretty much new here as you could see. Been registered for a couple of days just haven't had time to post. I had a question about the special interior option. My father has just recently moved down east in southern florida left me his 85 IROC with the 305 TPI engine. And it has the contour interior i believe it's called a friend told me, he's really into IROCs has well. I believe you know what i mean it has the Camaro patches on the seats and doors. How did the IROCs get that kind of interior? And well i guess since this is my first post i guess i could give u some info on me, i've been a big Pontiac since i was i believe 8 yrs old. And when i was 13 i wanted to get a 92 GTA TA really bad. I feel love them basically. While my dad was a big chevy fan which i was totally into as well. It took me a while but i finally found my GTA when i was 17. Gold crosslace wheels 5.7 V8 exterior color green. I've never been sick of it ever since i've owned it. Well that me.

I wish I could find some of that gray/black material to redo a modern pair of seats in it, but the only color that still seems to be available is that fugly orange/red color.

The rest of that remaining NOS material seems to have been bought up and turned into women's purses.

yea willie those are it. Mine are Black Patches with Red Camaro print. I'll try and get a pic of the seats and the car as soon as i get a digital camara, my other one is busted.Yea just wondering if that was a one year thing for the IROC or any other camaro model, and if it was rare.

IIRC, that interior was available for several years. Not particularly rare. I see them from time to time in bone yards. Here's the interior in an 85 (note the power seat provision):

yea one of the buttons on the power seasts don't work on mine. Nice article find. Basically i believe the man at the Chevrolet dealer ship told him if he wanted a lot more stuff he should special order things from GM i believe he told me, i think thats maybe how he got the contour interior because my father said all they had were just the regular Z28 options at the time. It was around January of 85 he got the car. They had two in the show room but they were hardtop he wanted to see if he could get the t-tops on it which he did.

This guy sells the multi-colored cloth, and has some of the seats available. You have to email him for prices.
