1984 Berlinetta Parts
*UPDATE* Please Read:
Thank you for your interest, but the car and parts are no longer available.
I am parting out an '84 Berlinetta. We got the car from my cousin, and only want the transmission out of it and maybe some other, yet to be determined, minor things. Some things to note:
-"Digital Dash" is taken apart, non original speedo/tach has been installed, 4 gauges on the left side are there, have lens and bezel.
-Most electronics are untested (need to borrow a battery from another car), but will definatly test them if there's interest.
-Carpet is no good.
-Seats are dirty and showing their age.
-Steering column is loose, could be an easy fix, if there's interest I will look into it.
-Upper dash pad is ruined.
-Have rear trunk lid, lock cyl. missing (no key anyway).
-Underdash panels appear, at first glance, to be in pretty good shape.
-Console looks good.
That's all I can think of for now. I don't know too much about the car, we've had it for about 2 weeks, drove it once, and now its just waiting to get the trans pulled. (After we get the trans out, the whole car (with running engine) will be available for $300 OBO.)
If you are interested in something, let me know, and I will get some pics and/or test it out.
Here are the pics that I have so far.
*Will accept trades, full or partial (even plus cash on my part), for LSx swap parts...*

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
I need the round shift ball for automatic transmissions, with the button and clip. Also looking for the upper seat belt trims that attach to the headliner, in black.

Do you have any preference as far as shipping company goes, or do you just want the cheapest? I don't have any shipping quotes yet, cause I dont know the box size that I'll need just yet...

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Just the cheapest. I want the entire deal. Even the casing that covers the shifter (Or that too if its cheap?) I dont necessarily need the radio unit, just the pod (If it can be removed from the pod?) but, let me know a price and hopefully we can work out a deal. Thanks in advance! ---Bradley

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Got your PM. I will get back to you tomorrow, when it's light outside, so I can test it out and get it pulled.
I just sent you an e-mail like 10 seconds ago. I got pics, prices, all the shipping options I could think of, and info on the state of the radio pod.
But, I see you just want the pod housing, not the innards? Is that correct? That would definatly solve the issue with the tape not ejecting . I will have to see tomorrow about removing the housing. I'll be in touch. Thanks.
EDIT: When you say "the casing that covers the shifter" you mean the lower console housing, right? Also, are you wanting the shift ****?

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
*complete console is still for sale*
Prices (shipping can definatly be combined on multiple items):
-upper console housing: $50 +shipping
-lower console housing: $50 +shipping
-shifter plate: $30 shipped
-shifter ****: $15 shipped
(Prices for these items are based on the fact that, to my knowlege, they are unique to the Berlinetta and therefor, are somewhat rare.)
All pieces are in good shape, with no cracks. There are some marks where the seat rubbed up against the plastic on the lower housing, but that is the worst of it. Here are the pics.

Sold:
-1984 Camaro Shop Manual (Helm's)
Regarding the comment in my original post, about the underdash panels being in good shape, they aren't... I dug them out today and they are pretty rough (here are the pics). If any one wants them I will clean them up and let them go for free (+shipping), as is. Or if you want, I can put on some new foam and sell them for shipping+foam+$5 for one or both. Shipping for both I think will be nearly the same as for one; I can put them both in the same box.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
*UPDATE*
~Trans. pan and torque arm bushing clamshell have been sold.
~Also, the whole (what's left of it) car is no longer going to be available for sale as a running/driving vehicle. If you want the whole thing it will have to be towed (probably on a flatbed). The plan now is to eventually strip it out and take the shell to the scrap yard. No idea when that is ever going to happen though...
~And... I was looking a little closer at the seats and I don't think they are quite as bad as I had initially thought... I mean, the driver's seat has that one wear/tear spot (I think it is in one of the pics), so they definitely aren't 100% perfect... If anyone wants that color/style of seat, just say the word and I will go take a good look at them once and for all (and more pics).

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
I disappoint myself... I have lost the bezel for the left hand dash pod controls. Here's what it looks like now:
I don't know what could have happened to it, I know I could have taken it off to clean it, but it's nowhere to be found... If anybody needs replacement controls, but has a good bezel...

*UPDATE*
~Rear seat belt buckles have been sold.
~Front seat belts are missing the retractor springs, and drivers has bit of fading and stain.
~Plastic sheath on front seat belt buckles are both bad (cracked and broken).
~On the headliner, the corners that tuck in behind the sail panels, the fiberboard backing is broken.
~The radio pod is currently out of commission. I took it apart to fix a problem with the tape player, and I was able to locate the cause of the problem, but I have not fixed it or put it back together.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
No, not really... I mean, I'm still holding out for around $100 on it... Sorry, man. It probably wont go down too much 'till it starts becoming a storage issue. And, as long as we still have the car, it makes for a nice little storage shed... After we get it towed outta here, though, it all depends on how much room I can find for it in the garage.
If I ever happen across a Berlinetta in the junkyards around here, and can get the console stuff fairly cheap, I'll definitely see about pulling it for you.

As for the bezel, I'm not sure if I have it... I should be able to dig around in there later today. If I find it I'll get you some pics, if I don't I'll let you know.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Here's a link to the pics of the instrument cluster bezel.
It looks to be in decent condition. Only a couple minor issues: 1. the little foam grid that goes behind the warning lights ("Systems Monitor") area, is a little messed up, see picture for details. 2. one of the screw holes on the black screen thing is chipped, see picture.
It is dusty/dirty, but I would definitely clean it before sending out.
*Also, something to note, and this goes for everyone: I don't know too much about Berlinetta's and their different variations over the years. Therefor, I cannot guarantee that any of my parts will fit your car. I must ask that you make sure that any parts you are interested in will fit your vehicle.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
I do not have the tach (RPM). Also, I disassembled the fuel gauge for a project I was working on with one of my other cars. (the oil pressure gauge shares the same faceplate as the fuel one)
I do have the temp. gauge and voltmeter assembly intact, and presumed to be functional. I'll see about testing them; hopefully on Thursday. I'll also see if the fuel gauge can be returned to its original state.
Here's a couple pic's I had taken of the gauges (click for larger images):

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Yes, I have the shifter. Are you looking for just the ****, trim plate, or shifter mechanism, or all of it?
Here's some links to a couple pictures: Shift plate, assembled console.
As for the gauges, I was able to test the voltmeter and the temp gauge, and they both appear to work fine.
However, regarding the fuel/oil gauge assembly, in order to put that back together I would have to fully drill out the rivets (2 per gauge) and use small screws or nuts and bolts to reattach the faceplate to the gauge bodies. Also, I have misplaced the needle for the fuel gauge... I looked for it a little today and was unable to find it. I'll look some more in the next few days.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
I was able to get some more information on the speedometer from my cousin:
I have also sent an e-mail off to the company to see if I can get a copy of the instruction manual specific to this product.
- The brand is Cyberdyne, and the part number is C270E161N. It is a combination speedometer/tachometer, with a green display color.
- Their site has some basic install instructions as well.
- Here is the product info from the Cyberdyne Speedometer Product page: GREEN Combination Speed/Tach
-Part # C270E151N-Silver Bezel
-Part # C270E161N-Black Bezel
Gauge requires 3 3/8” hole for mounting with back clamp provided. Gauge includes all functions of both speedometer and tachometer. Speedometer features include million mile odometer, trip odometer, push button speed calibration, high speed recall, 0-60 time recall and 1/4 mile time recall. Tachometer features include bargraph and digital display, adjustable for 2, 4, 6 or 8 cylinders, adjustable shift light and high RPM recall. Requires electronic speed sender for operation. Will hook up to any factory electronic speed sender or to Cyberdyne part # 8931 for Ford or part # 8901 for all other models.
I have also sent an e-mail off to the company to see if I can get a copy of the instruction manual specific to this product.

Do you have the front seatbelt receivers? Pass and drivers side? If so, how much shipped to 75038?

The second picture is a little over exposed, the belt material is actually charcoal gray, but the flash makes it seem lighter. Aside from that though, you can see that the plastic guide pieces are pretty messed up for both sides.
As far as price goes (if you even want them, given their condition) what do you think of $4.50 each + $5.00 shipping for a total of $14?

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Here's a few pieces I'm looking for, color isn't an issue.
- A plastic cover on the inner side of the interior door handle
- 2 of the plastic pieces that cover the front seat mounting bolts
- Trim piece that goes into headliner around the seat belt
- Crack/star-free front bumper Camaro emblem
Let me know.

For the seat bolt covers I have the pair off the passenger seat (non-power adjustable). I don't know if they are different for power seats? And these are the ones that cover the front mounting bolts. They are black/charcoal, and appear to be in good condition.
As for the "plastic cover on the inner side of the interior door handle," do you mean the large-ish black rectangular piece that goes behind the door handle, and the mirror adjuster and lock controls are mounted in? I have both sides and they look to be in good condition.
I should be able to get pics of these pieces tomorrow, it was pouring rain today and the car is uncovered... Also, there is a chance that I might want to keep the seat bolt covers for my other Camaro. I'm not sure on that yet; I'll let you know tomorrow when I post the pictures.

Those are the seat bolt covers I'm looking for. The plastic cover on the inner side of the door handle which covers the door handle mounting bracket and is behind the handle itself. It's slightly triangle-ish.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Here's the pic's of the door handle trim piece (click to make bigger):
This trim is off the passenger side door. Not sure if that matters, but figured it'd be prudent to mention.
Regarding the bolt covers, I remembered that I have a set of 1998-2002 seats to go in, and they don't take the same bolt covers. So, here's the pic's of those too:
These were also off the passenger side. For the front mounting bolts. They are a little dirty, but I would clean them before shipping. Same goes for the trim piece above.
What do you think of $7 shipped + $.50 for PayPal fees for a total of $7.50 shipped for all of the above (2 bolt covers, 2 screws, and 1 door handle trim piece)? Note: I would be willing to accept other payment methods if necessary.
Let me know.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
That is the trim piece I'm looking for for the door handle.
Those bolt covers look a little different than my remaining ones but I will take a look tomorrow to see if those would work and I'll let you know in the morning, price sounds good. Thanks!

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
If you need any other pictures to make sure, I can definitely take some more. Would it be helpful to have one of the seat mounting bracket, where the bolt covers go, to compare to yours?

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Yes, I do:
What do you think of $4.50 + actual shipping and fees (PayPal)? Hopefully it weighs less than 13oz, so it would be able to go USPS First Class for the best price ($3.26 or less, depending on weight).
If you are still interested, let me know and I will get that packed and weighed and get an exact price.

Re: 1984 Berlinetta Parts
Yes, I have the steering wheel. It is the kind with the cruise controls on the wheel spokes. Here's a picture:
As far as price, what do you think of $70 + shipping & PayPal fees? I might be negotiable on price for that though. I just looked on eBay to see what they were going for and saw a couple over $100...
Yes, I also have the 700R4 shifter. Here's a picture with all the trim still on it:
Are you wanting just the shifter mechanism itself or the trim plate/**** as well?
No worries, thanks for letting me know.
