I have an interest in the Drivers Gauge cluster (complete) with vss module. Could you send me some pics front and back... I need to see, or if you can tell me, if the cluster is all electric. If it is, i definately have an interest.

your parting out the whole car right? I'll give you $15 for the inner top rail. its the piece of plastic that lines the passenger door liner, just above the arm rest.

Sure no prob. But first let me take it off and take a few pics of it that way you know what your getting or if you would still want it. I'd hate to mail it to you and then you don't like it and be all mad at me.

Re: Parting out an 89 Camaro RS (Long Island, NY)

In all honesty I do not know. My dad got it for me for xmas and threw it in. I don't have the box for it either.

It's either one of these

Re: Parting out an 89 Camaro RS (Long Island, NY)

This is all you do to remove it. Sorry my instructions won't be all that great since I don't know the name of every part.

Passenger Side.
On the bottom side by the floor there will be a panel you will need to remove. I think it's about 4 screws you'll need to remove. (it's the same panel you remove to get to the heater core)
Once that is removed you will see the computer just sittin there. Prolly 2-4 screws to take it out.
Disconnect the cable(s) going into the computer.
There's about 4 screws holding the plate on. Remove those.
From there you will see the chip. It's easy to remove. Either use your fingers to pry it up. Or use a small flat head. Best way to take it out is to pry one side, then the other side that way you don't bend the legs.

As for the performance side. I never really tested the car out to see if it got quicker or better gas mileage. But from my experience I really didn't see or feel much of a difference. Who knows, maybe if you sat there and reprogrammed it you'll get better results.

Let me know if your interested. Just shoot an offer.
