I am not sure who knew about these, but they have not been brought up before to my knowledge...
But I found a bunch of them, they include Formulas, and Trans Am's I have found a 1986 Trans Am, 1987 Trans Am 1988 Trans Am, and several 1989 Trans Ams and a TTA, also several different color 1989 Formula...
Thought I would share...

There is also a light blue 1986 Trans Am that I cannot find.

John,
I see you have pic of the Maui Blue Formy...I didn't see it on price sheet. Do you have the link? I would buy two & try to modify one to a vert....I see they have a red 350 coupe.

Re: 1:64th Firebirds by greenlight
Joe at the Trans Am nationals had one on his dash, he had the identical car in the show. He is the person that made me aware of them... He really wants your car I must admit. I have yet to find the blue one on line...
The Blue car I cannot find on Greenlights web page any more, I found it yesterday. There is also a 1989 Formula with Green wheels and green stripe that looks like a POS that I found for very expensive.

It is listed as a 1986 on the Greenlight site but on the actual package it is listed as a 1987 Trans Am.

Re: 1:64th Firebirds by greenlight
HAHAHA! I JUST picked the first one up from super Wal-mart!
I got the black formula 350 because its my favorite third gen. The little motor under the hood even looks like the 350. lmfao
Only complaint, the whole roof is a very thin plastic...

Re: 1:64th Firebirds by greenlight
Just saw this in Hemmings Muscle Machines last night about the Formula 350s. I have the maroon and black GTAs, but I'd love to have a TTA in 1:64. I don't have any local outlets close to me here.
Where's a good place to look, John?

The blue car is the Northern Kentucky F-Body Association 1987 Trans Am...
It is listed as a 1986 on the Greenlight site but on the actual package it is listed as a 1987 Trans Am.

not sure what the shipping costs will be but we will sell the NKYFBA blue car for $5 + Shipping
I personally have a matching set that I'm willing to part with for $40 +shipping. It is a green machine and a blue car both #67. the Green machine is the first green machine to do a double color change going from Blue and Silver of the standard car to Green and Gold for the green machine

Contact Greenlight to see if they have any in the works.
I know there have been Several 91-92 1/24 scale model kits in the past, especially for the GTA & Formula.

Re: 1:64th Firebirds by greenlight
Nothing from GreenLight impresses me.
I have the 1/64th two tone TA and I recently picked up a TTA 1/18 and I will tell u this, there are far better models out there as far as quality, paint and consistency than anything they will ever put out.
If it wasnt the novelty of finding anything ThirdGen I wouldnt have the 1/64 nor the 1/18 TTA with poor quality mold, paint, dont forget the metal taillites with sticker and the press on windshield and neato removable roof that is beyond flimsy and doesnt look that good.
Sorry, I tell it like I feel and I really don;t see anyone praising anything from them compared to what is out there with the only exception of it being ThirdGen related
I wish GMP would do some Third Gen's.

Re: 1:64th Firebirds by greenlight
I see and understand both sides of the argument.
There are those more serious collectors who are used to the outstanding quality of the high end diecasts like those produced by GMP and others. I have both the black and white GNXs from GMP and I agree that they are fantastic.
Still, a lot of people cannot or are not interested in paying around $100.... or even more.... for a diecast replica. I was very pleased with all of these GreenLight cars.... the 1:64 and the 1:18 examples. I thought they were very nice for the $$$ spent. At volume prices, there will always be small details that may be off, but on the whole I felt they were well done. Besides, no one else seemed to be stepping up to fill the void for small-scale versions of our cars.
All just my $0.02 only... I know others here disagree, some probably vehemently.

I concur with Frankie. Although the quality is not like a GMP or for heavens sake Franklin Mint, I did not pay GMP or Franklin Mint prices. I think for what they are the price is about right. They are much nicer than the 1:18 Sun Star 1982 Camaro, and the 1:18 Knight Rider that are sitting on my shelf.

I happened to pick up one of those '91 GTA kits for $15 back when I first bought my GTA. Now it seems like you can't find them anymore.
