ATTN: Anyone who has ordered a duplicate window sticker from PHS
I was just at PHS's website, and I see they now offer duplicate, supposedly exact facsimilies of original window stickers. Has anyone here ordered one? How impressed were you?
Also, for anyone who has ordered the regular PHS package for an '89 Firebird...what did they give you? They list the factory invoice and a blank dealer order form for certain...
But then they say they will also give you an "official" Pontiac photo of that car, a letter decoding the options and "other specific information for that year and model Pontiac" IF AVAILABLE...so either you get a lot or a little. Granted, they give you the more crucial items either way, but does anyone know what they include if you order PHS documentation for specifically an '89 Firebird??
Thanks to anyone who can help out here...

I got one of the color repro window stickers when they first became available, they even used my original window sticker to work off of. I was NOT impressed one bit. It lacked ALOT of detail but then again I am very picky when it comes to so called exact repros anyway and if I had not had my original to comapare it to I'm sure I would have been more than happy.

I got mine about 2 years ago, for my '86 T/A. Was well pleased with it. Got one in just paper and another fully laminated. Mine is on Black & White don't know about color. Also receive production numbers, delivery sheet and manufacturers motor vehicle specifications manual, even a promo picture....all was good stuff..

I had no build sheet or rpo sticker on my 86 T/A. I actually had no documentation outside of a carfax report. To have the original factory invoice was worth the bucks to me but then they do supply a pretty hefty interesting package as well. Lot's of facts, production numbers, etc.
I haven't gotten the invoice repro yet.........

Mike,
They offer production #s too??? It didn't say that on their website! This is something I would really like to know! People have told me the Firebird Red Book is full of inaccuracies...does PHS really supply production #s too?
I do plan to get the regular PHS package plus 2 window stickers (one laminated, one not)...just want to know what I'm getting if I order an '89 set from them. Anyone out there with an '89???

I got the PHS window sticker, but it was color & not b&w like it should have been. Also they did not fill my order correctly. But thats life.

Actually, karfreek.... 1989 was the first year for the colored window stickers. That image you posted is correct for that year.
I have three PHS window stickers for my three '88 GTAs and they are all excellent quality. Everything matches, and I have the original for my red GTA to compare against. So I was very satisfied.
The production numbers you heard about are not the ones that you're thinking about. My packets have some rudimentary Firebird and Trans Am numbers but not for my GTA's year of production. But the newer packets may have more info that mine do.

Unfortunately I dont have my origional one. I have been told by a few people that it should have been B&W. But seeing that is was built June 21st 89 it might have been a mid year switch to color & maybe it is right?

But the window sticker on that '89 was colorized just like the image you posted.... and that was on 09/23/88.
Sorry that your order was messed up, though. Did you take it up with PHS about the errors?
