Questions on insurance???

I remember seeing a while back about coloector/ specialty insurance. I ran a search and couldn't find it so I will have to ask... Currently I have a 83 Z28 L69 that I am restoring completely to original. The car is not registered and I am up to the $4,000 mark with it. I am getting to install the new interior after I finish painting the inside. My delema is I want to register the car so I can get it to the body shop and drive it. The car will only be driven to shows and club events(besides body shop). I checked with my insurance company and they want $1,200 more I already have $4k coverage on my 00 T/A and that I thought was bad enough. I also remember that the "parade" insurance was alot cheaper from specialty insurance company. I also have a 94 Caddy Eldorado that I want to use as my driver but insurance is running me into the ground. If I insured just the caddy with them my policy drops $1,600. I figure with the T/A in a storage unit and the same with the 83 Z28. Does anyone have information on this type of insurance? I would like to get coverage on my other 2 cars w/o breaking the bank! Thanks for any help...

Car: 87 IROC-Z, 82 Pace Car
I didn't know Grundy had an age limit. I have them for my 93 and the 87. Both cars are show cars only and are considered somewhat rare. The 93 being 1 of 342 and the 87 IROC having 8k miles on it and fully optioned. They charge me about $220/year for the IROC and $250 for the 93. Good luck. I guess insurance companies don't expect the under 25 age group to have collector cars.
