Sticker is hard to read but looks like $21,244 for the grand total. Purchased in NJ. I lived "back then" as a broke/know it all High School - long haired punk. That price was way too expensive for me when new, and the asking price of $109k is way too expensive for me now!

Re: 1987 IROC-Z WITH 87 MILES ON EBAY
My '87 was fully loaded at a price of $21,019. I had the louvers on my car, but they didn't come with it from the factory. I've only seen one car with a higher cost than mine at $21,034. That car had the $15 black door edge guards that run from top to bottom. This car has those for $15 and the louvers for $210, making it the highest priced '87 I've ever seen. I don't think there are any other options available that this car doesn't have. Unfortunately, it has the red interior. If it was grey, it would be getting slammed with offers, but the red limits it's market considerably. The asking price is high, but the '85 4.3 mile car, now with 11 recently sold for 6 figures also.

I can take a picture tonight but the original radiator hoses on my 98 look like that. Maybe not quite as bad. I considered putting VRP on them to make them look better, but decided to just let it ride since they are 26 years old.

There's nothing wrong with "detailing" an original car. In my mind, even "fixing" original cars with replacement parts isn't an issue. The car's originality is in the major components of the car, like the body, engine, axle, trans, interior, etc. Even an aftermarket replacement switch, if identical to the original, isn't an issue to me. As long as everything works and appears as original, then so be it.
For many that will disagree, think about the '60's muscle cars that have been completely rebuilt. They may have the original engine, trans, body, rear axle, etc, but the seats, carpet, radio, dashpad, wiring, hoses, headliner, etc., are all replacements in most restorations.

I think he needs to run this trough a real auction if he wants that kind of money for this. Agree, the price is way high but I just don't think ebay auction is the right outlet for this car.
That other 6 figure Z was less optioned but had a cool story and we all know collectors pay for that.

I grew up in Woodbridge, funny to think this time capsule was in my neighborhood throughout my 3rd gen years! Looks beautiful, even with the quintessential GM 80s red interior.

I hate red interiors in 3rd gens with the exception being the 1987 Flame Red Metallic GTA with the Carmine Red cloth interior. I think that is the most beautiful red 3rd gen interior and I really love the overall color combo.
