92 1LE B4C from Bob McDorman Chevrolet rare options
Hello, I have a 92 Camaro 1LE B4C that was originally purchased from Bob McDorman Chevrolet in 1992. It now has 13,100 miles. I have the original purchase receipt and paperwork, including the newspaper ad. I have heard several stories, including that Bob McDorman ordered 6 1LE B4Cs with all different options, as unique, one of a kind cars. There are stories and rumors, includung only 5 1LE B4C in 1992 cars that were never put into police service. I am not sure where to begin, but would appreciate any info that anyone has.
thanks
thanks

Heard of that dealership but never heard of 6 B4C's coming from there. Pics of car would be nice including rpo sticker.
Color? Options?
I do know that Henna Chevrolet here in Austin, Tx ordered all of the 91 and 92 B4C's for Texas DPS back then. I believe DPS got a total of about 70 B4C's all optioned the same. 5 speed LB9's with plain grey interior, AM FM radio and rear hatch release. Nothing else.

I tried to upload pics of the car and rpo codes. Hope they go through. I am not really smart when it comes to uploading, etc.

Sounds like something McDorman would do. He had quite a collection back in the building, lot of special firsts and big name owner cars. I know a couple shop techs that worked for him and they used to talk about how Bob would have them working back there instead of the shop. This would have been before their time up there.
One heck of a desirable car you have there.

When I bought mine at McDorman, there were two black on black, two red on black (1 each manual/auto), and one white with red interior. I remember the white car with red interior stood out as unique, and it's probably the one you have. For some reason I thought it was red leather interior, and the sticker was over 20k, maybe 21.5k?. I always thought a B4C with red leather must be one of a kind, but it was too expensive for me and I wasn't crazy about the red interior. Could be I saw a Heritage edition Z-28 and my memory blurred, but there definitely was a white with red interior B4C and my wife confirmed my memory since she was there with me too. Anyway, there were five on the lot when I got mine, but he may have sold one before I got mine, or got another in after I bought mine. I knew what the cars were because my April 1992 Car Craft had an article about them, and how they were not available to the public, so I was shocked when I noticed them sitting in the front row of the lot. I bought mine in July, 1992. I ran into a guy who bought the black 5-speed car at National Trail Raceway about a year later the one time I took it to the drag strip at a radio station fun event.
PS: I checked with my wife to get her recollection. She remembers all five cars sitting in a row at the front of the lot including one white one. I know the others were the two red and two black. She doesn't remember the interior color, but I remember a red interior on the white car because it was really noticeable in comparison. The photos of your car verify that. Your car may have been that car, or maybe it was sold before I got there and your car was the sixth car. It's possible that there were two white cars at one time, and one was sold before I saw them since McDorman seems to have had ordered two cars of each color, with one manual and one auto each. So there may be a white one with a manual out there somewhere. probably with a red interior too. I also know I saw a white car in the showroom with red stripes and red leather interior with a sticker of 21,500. That was probably a heritage edition Z-28 since that sticker price seems about right. Over time I may confused that car with the white B4C on the lot due to the similar colors. So I'm comfortable saying there was no red leather interior B4C there, and only the one white and two red and two black that my wife confirms when we were there in July '92.

On a side note, I attended a local Columbus Camaro show with my car about 2001 or so, and a guy was excited to see it because he had essentially the same red B4C but brand new. His was trailered in an enclosed carrier, still with the shipping plastic on the seats. He thought it would be cool to have mine as a driver since he had obviously never driven his. That car may still be hidden away in someone's garage still undriven.

Your coworker needs to contact WD Detailing https://www.youtube.com/@WDDetailing They look for cars to detail for free.
They have no plans to sell but I am going to try to talk them in to selling it. It took me 1.5 years just to get pictures of the car.

I just got my 1982-1992 Camaro reference book today. According to the book, that car is the ONLY 1991 B4C bright red with brown leather interior. There weren't a lot of red ones at all, 13 in 1992 and 17 in 1992 (like mine). And, it's possible I did see a white with red leather B4C when I bought mine since there were 3 made (also 9 white with red cloth, 8 auto/1 man). Interesting.

Those custom brown seats are unique as that is the first time I have seen that in a 91 - 92 camaro
