Wow, what a find. Interestingly optioned, it has a 350 and rear defrost but not a whole lot more.

Supposedly fresh from being store past 35 years.
Wish there was an RPO SPI Label. Being an 87, it's not a 1LE, but sure is low optioned enough to pretend.

Interesting find. Would love to know the story about it.
Unfortunately, as a Metro Detroiter, when I hear 8 mile Iroc, I think of something like this.

I'd guess the low options and equipment combination had it on the lot at the end of the year, wound up in the attic of an old dealership?

Nice! Even without the lack of miles, that's a cool car.
Why does the Defog switch have the icon pictured sideways?

talk about still being in the wrapper...really cool piece. gonna need some work for sure to run again. Mine sat for 10 years in an air conditioned garage and needed a lot of work to get her running again....

and the temp gauge needle pegged past 260 degrees. Some electrical issues/bad jump start, etc.....Museum piece, not one easily made road worthy....not like you could drive it anyway...probably be best left in the wrapper and cleaned up.

But it would be a joy to rework a rust free unmolested Iroc Camaro. Probably had what's left of the factory three gallons of gas. Be fun to get the whole story on the car too.

Re: 8 mile IROC w/ pics:
The gauge pegged is most likely very minor. The gauge pegs to the Hot side when the ignition switch is put to Start position on this generation of Camaros and Firebirds. This is common with GMs and similar to how some warning lights are powered on during ignition switch Start position. Normally, as long as there's power, the gauge should move back to the correct position. However, it's a somewhat common issue for the Camaro to have it stick when it does the peg to Hot test.

Re: 8 mile IROC w/ pics:
i cant believe this thread hasnt blown up yet!, another sub ten mile car, and its a BLUE 5.7, i see this selling for quite a lot, would be cool if the guy who owns the 9 mile iroc bought this one too. just goes to show there still out there! this has to be the lowest known mileage on a thirdgen, the black 85 "4.3" mile car has 9.6 miles now.

I would hope it's minor, but look at the tachometer, then look at the volts gauge. And oil pressure. Hmm.

Re: 8 mile IROC w/ pics:
Yes. You'll see many early ThirdGen Firebirds with the same tachometer behavior where it reads something above 0 RPM with key off. Not all of the gauges will park with key powered off. This is similar to how the 1986-1992 Firebird fuel gauge doesn't park but remains in the last measured reading when it had power.
