1982-1984 Body side moldings
Can somebody post a picture of an untouched set of body side moldings from an 82-84 trans am or any information pertaining to the same. I know that most of them from the time were dealer installed options. Im trying to find the correct match for a set or if possible find a set that has been removed carefully and not ripped off the side of the car.

According to the info I have w62 was the rpo code for the aero package. It was available on the 83 Daytona cars, a option on the 84s and standard on the 1984 y84 cars. I have my original spid sheet which lists the w62 rpo code I also have the original window sticker which lists the optional aero package.

Re: 1982-1984 Body side moldings
The topic is about the side moldings that run across the door, front and rear quarter panel. It is not the ground effects.
You're speaking about the W62 ground effects kit when the topic is about that thin piece of molding that runs down the middle of the door with short pieces on the fender and quarter panel.
Again, B84 is the RPO code for the side moldings. This comes from Pontiac's Product Book for 1984 as well as indicated in the Pontiac Firebird Parts & Illustration manual. These are material from Pontiac.
Here's another piece from Pontiac that illustrates what the discussion is about:
BTW, don't trust everything you read online or through Google. Anyone could say anything and it gets indexed by Google.
On a side note, what you posted is not an original window sticker by Pontiac. What you have is something from the dealer on letterhead. Window sticker has a universal layout and will look much different.

I understand that. Once again look up the w62 rpo code. It's for the optional door moldings. B84 was the standard door molding w62 was the optional door moldings. They where available on the 83 Daytona cars, optional on the 84s and came on all 84 y84 cars.

Re: 1982-1984 Body side moldings
This is also from the 1984 Pontiac Product Book that defines what the aero package is:
It does not mention anything about B84 side door moldings that the topic is discussing.
While it is known that sometimes Pontiac misprinted or made errors in their literature and documentation, it seems pretty clear here. Feel free to provide some examples from the sources you're using, but keep in mind Pontiac built these cars and all the material I have provided comes from Pontiac's literature for 1984.

Re: 1982-1984 Body side moldings
Usually I refer to the door moldings as body side moldings and whats down below as the ground effects to keep people from mixing them up if it does come up. Body shops will sometimes make the same mistake.

IIRC these moldings were used until the 1985 model year. The later moldings are wider and body colored.
