It's still brand new in the box. Box is from a dealer local to me. It's never been out of the box except for these pictures.
Crap picture I know.. And it's covered in dust from being in my crawl space.
Here is what it is. It's the full peice upper and lower
It's this ^^^

LOL Serious question or trolling? 1) It's a discontinued part. 2) It's a TPI part that is typically damaged in collisions. So yeah, it's worth "something". I could see some sellers without scruples listing it on Ebay for around $500 with tag words like 1LE! and a description singing the praises of being an NOS part. Some used aircleaners from 2.8L cars are listed for triple digit prices out there.
If you're looking to sell, you can probably name your price and wait for the right seller to come along. I wouldn't mind replacing one of mine just to get rid of scuffs and scratches, but I'm not fond of paying outrageous prices some sellers are asking.

I'll start the bidding at $100.
Truth be told most have survived in perfect condition - I have an extra sitting on the shelf.

Maybe I'll keep it a little while. See what happens.

I figured that could be possible and they aren't super hard to find. New in box is a little harder but there are still tons of nice examples out there probably..

True, but NOS in the box is an entirely different animal. Prices will catch up with your expectations eventually, they always do. The only difference is if that money could have made you more in the meantime.

It won't make me more cause I'd spend it on parts for my lsx swap and it would be gone the first day lol

Re: Is this worth anything? Factory NOS 1991-1992 z28 part??
Imo, it depends on the market you're trying to sell to. Since it's NOS you have the unique option of trying to find someone that will pay much more than the average buyer, but it would probably have to be in perfect condition. Ie. if the dust is gritty then you need to be careful with how you remove it. This is also a high wear/highly visible item due to its location, and the fact that many lower intakes are cut for "better airflow" while others have amassed many stickers and also wear from being in the middle of everything. IIRC, V6 versions include a provision for a sensor on the side that would not be useful for someone asking $30k at auction. Imo, that is where your difference is as $500 for a part to make a $20-$30k sale is a no brainer. For someone trying to restore a car for local cruises and car shows then it is a no way.
If you're trying to find it on Ebay this should work for searches:
85-92 305/350 TPI Air Intake Box
Even here you can see a wide variance in condition and what Ebay says that they actually sold for, so imo it's really difficult to tell you what yours should sell at.

Thanks for the links, that's good info. I was hoping it was worth a little more then what those were selling for, when I get back from vacation next week I'll take it out, wipe the dust off. Take good pics of it and see what I can do.

Re: Is this worth anything? Factory NOS 1991-1992 z28 part??
If you are going to put it on Ebay make sure to compare the differences in how it is sold. Ie. if it includes shipping, auction vs. Buy it now, and other factors. It looks like the $36 was from an auction btw. Ebay/Paypal also grabs another 15% or so off the top, and then make sure to calculate shipping (and where it will be available to ship to) so you know what that will be. If you want to keep it mint condition I would blow the dust off and not wipe it in case the dust is gritty. You're welcome and good luck.

Re: Is this worth anything? Factory NOS 1991-1992 z28 part??
Ive got two of those myself, and they clean up real well. Both of mine had a lot of wear and tear. One I wetsanded, one I prepped and painted. Both came out awesome and could pass as NOS to the casual observer. ....and unless Im the only guy who has ever tried to refurb them, I dou t theres a whole lot of value. ....but.....someone will come along and be willing to pay good money eventually.
