Hey Chazman, this one would fit your collection theme. 4 cars - all 2 years apart in model year.

Absolutely stunning car, I should have bought it when I had the chance at Bud's Chevy 5-6 years ago... It was in the Matt Garrett collection until the current owner bought it not too long ago. It was posted on ebay for $48k and I believe it sold in the high 30s... http://www.mcsmk8.com/87-IROC/87-IROC.html

Love love love seeing original cars like this. Out of my price range completely, but cool that there are original survivors out there like this.

Interesting about the T-Tops, I didn't know he C &C T Tops came installed as a factory option?
Also, they don't look like the usual C & C T Tops, that seem to leave more the front roof metal in place.
Can anyone tell what color/code the interior trim is?

SWEET!!!
Now that's a gem right there! Only 1,000 original miles?
Bids at $23 grand so far, reserve not met.
Hell Yeah If I was rich I'd buy that to keep in my collection for sure.
Wouldn't even wanna drive it to add miles. Just start it, and Flatbed it to all the car shows.
I'd expect a 5.7 1,000 mile Iroc to bring close to 40 grand, though that might just be because of the current economy.
In a good one, I'm sure it would hit 40. In another 10 years time, still at 1,000 miles, it probably will as they will be harder to find not been all abused and torn up.

At some point, 350 & t-tops were offered in limited applications and for a couple select years, but the 350 & 5 speed manual was definitively Never offered.

Another interesting RPO was "Audible brake lining wear warning", which I haven't seen before.
Guess they mean those metal tabs on the disk pads that make a noise when the linings are too thin. Did they need an RPO for this?

Re: the ultimate iroc-z for sale on ebay
Matt Garrett bought a friend of mines car. Look at his website and you'll see a 1987 Dark Red Metallic/Gold IROC-Z with less than 300 miles on it. A friend of mine kept asking about buying my car and told me about this one. He finally bought it, owned it for about 6 months and sold it to Matt Garrett. I don't know what he sold it for, but I heard it was over $30k.
