What's my car worth to you guys?
Hey everyone i have a 1991 camaro B4C police interceptor model. It has 130,000 miles and runs great. 350 5.7 L automatic. its the rs body on top of z28 motor and trans. new injectors. interior is perfect. aftermarket steel wheels. I want to know what you guys think its worth and i want to know should i go with headers and flo's next or rear louvers. i know louvers are cheaper but whatdya think? and yes it is a cowl hood

There is no way we could tell you what it's worth based on the description you gave us. What you consider a "perfect interior" won't be considered perfect to someone else. Also, since the car is specialty model (B4C) and you have an aftermarket hood on it and the wheels, the value will be less than a stock version of the same car. At this point, you are looking at a typical RS with 130k miles. Add $500 for the 350 is about all you can do.

Based off your description and single photo, I'd say a retail number for this car is anywhere from $1,500 to $6,000. Anything you've added to the car (like the wheels and the hood) will decrease the value. Adding headers is not going to help either, and rear window louvers are a big turnoff for most buyers (further limiting its appeal and value). Most brand new cars sitting on a dealer's lot don't even have "perfect" interiors, so I have my doubts on this one since it has 130K on it. You're in VA apparently, so I will assume the car has at least minor rust issues as well.
Bottom line: we need more photos (interior shots, engine shots, more exterior).

The B4C "Police Special" RS is a sought after model and can bring a good price if it's in good original, relatively low mileage condition. I agree with Scott, the aftermarket hood and wheels lower the value, and at 130XXX miles, it's not a low mileage car. Hard to say much without more detailed photos, but based on the one pix, I'd say $3500 to $4K would be retail on the car assuming the engine isn't burning oil or has other problems.

Is it a 1LE? Has the car ever seen service? Is it a decommissioned police cruiser? Or is it a B4C that made it into somebody's private garage? If you're seeking value out of your car, the best bet is originality and documentation. Find the correct wheels, correct hood, remove the tint, and de-modify it. Restore any issues and get the car operating in a factory-correct manner.
B4Cs are desirable and rare, but the market is limited. They can sell for the price of scrap metal all the way up into some of the highest prices thirdgens command these days. The "right" B4C usually falls into one of these categories:
1. A well documented fleet-use car with the correct police/government livery and equipment; these almost always have to be fully restored to command high prices, as fleet and patrol use can be very strenuous.
2. An original low-mile car or properly restored high-mile car that escaped fleet use and made its way into private use.
Both are narrow markets. Route 1 is for a small group of thirdgen enthusiasts that like police cars or people who are general police car enthusiasts and are okay going with a thirdgen. Route 2 is for those that like "sleeper" cars or prefer a subdued thirdgen with all the performance goodies. I fall into category 2 - the 91-92 RS body style is my favorite; the B4C delivers that body style with the Z28 performance.

and i know what you guys are saying about the wheels... but only third gen guys know what a b4c is.. and the stock wheels look like crap. so keeping the wheels is a priority for me.

Actually, the B4C is also well known in the 4th gen world, so there are a lot of people familiar with the RPO.

The wheels in post #6 above look pretty hot from my eye, and I suspect the average guy with a decent checkbook would agree.

If I was buying that car, I would want to change the wheels, If it had rear louvers, I would want those removed as well, interior looks like crap (sorry), it is filthy. I wouldn't pay more then 3k.

Stock appearing, lower mileage, unmolested cars are always going to be of more interest to a potential buyer. That along with cleanliness goes a long way. Even with upgrades, the chassis has 130,xxx on it.
Bottom line is, it's only "worth" what someone is willing to pay and the market is soft right now.

Re: What's my car worth to you guys?
Looks like a decent start with a cool car but the auto zone accessory isle items have no place in this car..
All tho the seat covers and floor mats can save the carpet and seats a lil bit of wear and tear, they look like crap. Remove them, have that interior detailed, seats/carpet shampooed and locate some nice factory floor mats for shows and pix.
While great for smokey burnouts, the wheels and mismatched tires gotta go back on the boat trailer where they belong. They have no place on a car that can run 140-150mph. Restore the stock wheels and use a decent speed rated tire.
I do really like that hood (best aftermarket 1 4 Camaros by a long shot) but it wont help bring top dollar.
Rear window louvers, just say NO..
Use the car for fun, shows and take it out of daily driver duty to keep it from falling further into disrepair.
If you want a lil more detail, scrub the engine compartment a lil bit, there is a random red wire on the pass side engine compartment that needs to be hidden or removed. It looks like the belt tensioner has been replaced. I think good year makes a replacement that looks just like the OEM one did. Also the alt fan/nut/washer needs to be a semi gloss black with a brown tint.
This is all just constructive advice to help you get top dollar and in no way ment to be a personal attack.
2-3k $$$ as is, is a realistic number.

"i think its about worth $3,000"
Funny, its value as what I would be willing to pay at most for that car as is.
Happy now?

As is: $1800.
Put the factory wheels and tires back on, put the stock hood back on, take off the seat covers and vacuum out the maple seeds and tidy it up here and there: $5,000

Very cool, I looked at the goodyear one and it looks like it uses the 3/8ths also. Prolly made in the same place! On the goodyear one, there is a bearing guard that needs to be swapped on from the old one but thats easy.

Re: What's my car worth to you guys?
Just be aware a lot of the "criticisms" against your car are things that decrease teh value because the car is one of the relatively more valuable thirdgens to begin with. With those wheels and that hood you're not going to get book value from a buyer, but the car has potential to be worth a whole lot more than your average RS, even though that's about what it's worth as it sits.
If you're wanting to know so you can sell it, put the factory parts back on. If you're wanting to know so you can play the *****-showing game with someone over whose car is "worth more", then you can just say "If my car was stock, it's worth X" and call it a day.

Re: What's my car worth to you guys?
I'd be willing to pay up to 3,000 for the car as it sits.
Then I would have to source the correct hood and get it painted to match, source the correct wheels and tires, and plan on front seat upholstery since I can only assume the front seats need to be recovered based on the "Too Fast, Too Furious" seat covers.
I'd pay upwards of $5,000 for a stock, unmolested car.
