I have an Indy Pace car and im trying to gather up all of the interior parts to start my restoration.

Im looking for someone who has an original that can take some pics for me of the interior (front and rear) so i can see what im missing and what i need. Im having a really hard time finding good pics on the internet. I would appreciate it very much!

Pics of basically the whole interior would be awesome!!!!

One thing you need to be aware of is the '82 interior is not the same as later model years. There are many '82 specific pieces. Then add in that the color was rarely seen on anything but the pace cars interiors and you will have a hard time finding these pieces. Good luck with your search.

 

I appreciate the tips! Ya im worried that I most likely wont find all the pieces i need in that DARK blue color. Was thinking of either going with the lighter of the dark navy blue to come close or possibly paint the plastics? Not sure what to do.

 

The only real difference with the pace car interiors is the seats and the door panels. Otherwise it's a standard 82 interior in dark blue. As Scott said, there are a few bits unique to '82 such as the dash pad, door sills upper seat belt covers, seat belt guides, etc. You're going to have to paint the plastics to match the dark blue color.

You main problem in finding panels from 82 will be finding ones that aren't UV damaged. Almost all of the 82 panels I've seem are cooked from being in the sun and the surface has turned to a white, chalky substance which cannot be repaired or painted. My panels were this way and I had to go get replacements from a local yard. My interior was original, but heavily damaged by the sun. You can find pics on my site:
