Is there a difference?
1LE was a race car for street with lots more than upgraded brakes.
B4C with the 1LE brakes were built for cops.
So were the cop cars exactly like the race cars?

 

1LE is brakes and A/C delet for the most part.
The rest of the parts were used on many other F cars. Not much special about them other than lower production numbers.

 

From what I've seen about the 1LE that was built for racing but had to be street legal and available to the public, there was a lot of upgrades, like...
Big brakes, A/C delete, aluminum drive shaft, baffled gas tank, different gear in 5th on standards, and a few more that escapes me.

Just wondering what the cop cars didnt have that the 1LE cars had?

Yes, 1LE is an RPO just like any other.

 

A/C delet, any car can have,
aluminum driveshaft, any car can have,
baffled tank, all 90?-91-2cars have them
twin cats, all 89-92 305 5spd an 350 cars got them

The cop cars had everything the 1LEs have but have A/C. (firehawks also have 1LE and A/C).
1LE is a option package that made some of the higher end (WS6 parts) and performance items standard and deleted the comfy creature feature items.

As I said, its reeally reeally not that special. The big front brakes are the only thing you couldn't order by itself.
