RPO codes not found

I just when through and ran all of my RPO codes off of my car. There were multiple codes that were not found. I used a code decoder off of another site, because I couldn't find the one on here. Does the one on here have a more comprehensive set of codes? Is this unusual? Is there a good place to go to enter my "not found" codes. I'm trying to find out as much as I can about my car.

Re: RPO codes not found

The problem is GM reused the same RPO codes from one platform to the next despite they could have different definitions. Or even using the same RPO codes on the same platform but different years despite having different definitions.

RPO code Y84 is one of the former examples as it was "GTA" for 1987-1992 ThirdGens, but earlier ThirdGens it was known as "Recaro" - the two being very different.

Since many of the RPO decoders don't exactly take note of this, you'll find results such as you did. E6N, in your example, is most likely not the correct definition for your 1984 Trans Am, but was likely the definition for a different year/platform.

We're working on a new RPO Decoder that will be specific to the platform, per year.

Re: RPO codes not found

That would be great to check out. If you need anything I went through and decode my whole car last night. Most of them I know are right and a couple just need to be double checked. I'm not sure what my gear ration in the rear end is but I got the code for it. I'd be glad to help with the new decoder
