Re: Do these seats look re-upholstered?

My 89 is this clean. Its original. Paint though??? I don't know. Mine has been garage kept 100%. Never has seen rain or snow and my car has some typical blemishes (clear coat blisters). Those seats look like the 4th Gen ones I swapped into mine. Minus the headrests ...

I'd imagine they're original...it's not a color that fades easily, and more importantly, no one makes correct cloth replacement seat covers in this pattern. Miles are low enough that they could easily be in this condition if the car were simply garaged. If anything, I would expect the first tears in the seats in this car to be at the top of the back seat like most of them.

It does look a bit like the "encore velour" seat kits available from Classic, Hawks, etc. I see a few wrinkles in the headrests too that probably wouldn't be there from the factory, and no pockets on the back of the seats.
