I have all the JL Camaro sets, ALL the 82-92 JL's, and ALL the '67's !!!

You don't happen to have the green card pace car white lightning do you ? It's the only white lightning I have left in the 82-92's ... And I'm having a hell of a time finding one

As for the hot wheels (2) reds (2) blacks and (2) KITTS for me one to open, one to leave packaged !

Nope, never found a White Lightning. I do have a bunch of Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts and Super Treasure Hunts, but no 3rd Gens in them.

Haven't seen any of the HOTWHEELS windshield banner cars either.

I just wanted to thank Hotwheels for putting out the 85 IROC anyways. Would like to find some more reds though.

I hope someday they'll bring out the '88.

The reds are most likely done until a new variation comes out like racing stripes or something,

They may change the year, all it would take is information change on the packaging as the look would be identical, who knows, personally I would like to see a stock RS(89' preferably) or a door slammer variation of the Thirdgen.

No more red IROCs will be "made". You just need to shop places that sell older merchendise. Its very rare, but I did find 2 reds at the dollar store. Hell, I still se some of them putting out 2011 models. There is no telling how many more will be on the pegs till they are gone. I will still buy all I find of the red, black, and KITT cars I find. So addictive.

Found some red IROCS at a truck stop back late May.Red was the first release (E case) and RARE !!!.I still see many of the black version's hanging at Target.

As it was mentioned ONLY chance for red IROCS at your local store is old inventory that could be "pushed" later in the future.H*ll one of my local super markets put out a display of 2010 basic hot wheels a few weeks ago !!! That was a REAL shocker !!

Just to through out,I would trade some red irocs for any KITT

It takes more than that.

1- It would require marketing/ design to want another year variant of a near identical car in their line. Because it's so close they'd likely need a good business case to justify it.
2- It would take a license amendment between Hot Wheels and GM to make another year car.
3- It would require a tooling revision to the chassis to change the legal lines.
4- It would require a tooling revision to the body (or window) to reflect the revised year IROC variant, or new tool altogether if changes are significant.
5- Lastly, it would require packaging art as mentioned previously.

That's a lot of work/ effort/ cost to get another year IROC variant. It's really not worth it, especially when there are other generations/ styles of Camaros not made yet. They have a much stronger business case for being selected before another year IROC.

When I developed this car I picked the '85 model year to represent because it was the first year IROC, and it lacks a third taillight.

Johnny lightning makes a white one, i have it, also have a black 89 iroc, a yellow 85 z28, and a black gta that are johnny lightning then i have 2 85 silver iroc's from dub city, as well as 1 red and 3 black iroc's and have a few of the red "blown" hotwheels also a knight rider hotwheels

I made one a little closer to whats in the garage , Still have to do a few things ,stripe it and red out the front grill Heritage style ect . It was a test piece , But so far so good . I'll take a pic when i'm done .

My walmart had a dump bin full of hot wheels.There were at least 10 or more black irocs but no windshield banner cars

The non-banner black IROCs are at Wal-Mart here as well, mixed in with other lots. Still come across the red IROC as well at area HEB grocery stores. I'm up to about 15 mixed black IROCs, 15 red, plus 2 or 3 KITTs, a couple of A-Team vans, and a Dark Knight Rises "The Bat". Also found in the cars of the decades series a light blue and multicolor striped 82-84 Z28, and a yellow with black and orange hood bird decal 82-84 Firebird T-Top. Both are painted in 80's street machine style.

Our Walmart got bigger, but the Hot Wheels section got really small. Only 4 or 5 wide and 4-5 down. And no Johnny Lightning cars. I hope they expand again!! No IROCS since last spring
