I was trying to find some info on what a car similar to mine would have cost in 1991 (Argument with a friend)

I don't need an exact MSRP I just want a ballpark of it.

I tried searching google and here but couldn't find anything

It would be a 1991 Z28 with the L98, Dual Cat Exhaust and all other options. If anybody has any info that could help, it would be awesome. Thank you!

Man I wish I did. My RS Convertible has no options other than AC and power steering and radio.

17490.10 remember the 1LE had very few options other than the motor, trans and axle - incorrect info
the only options Power locks, a radio or not, block heater, rear window defogger, rear window louver. that's it. incorrect info

To the original post - the 1LE was the only car optioned with the dual exhaust, dual cats - that was not a option you could order on a Camaro. - incorrect info

1LE Special Perf Components Pkg - was not an option - you had to know what to order and what not to order - no appear pkg could be ordered Why you might ask? -

What does a 1LE not have? Appearance group one contained air conditioning - That's how GM kept these cars out of the average joe's hands -

When I ordered my car in southern CA - The sales guy would not order a car without air conditioning.

I had to work with the owner of the dealership, and the only way I could get him to agree to order the car was large amount of $$$$ down.

there is some misinformation in your post.
N10 dual cats were on a lot of "regular" non 1LE cars, 350auto and 305 5sp cars from 89 to 92.
A few 1LE cars were more than just base cars, a few even have A/C. Plus B4C,TTAs and Firehawk cars have A/C and 1LE.
Z28s were diff than the birds a lil bit in the order process, birds have 1LE as a option on the order form.

I have the dealer order guide right in front of me, there no N10 to order - you could order the GP92 axle package with air - that would get you the N10 exhaust.

The BC4 would have air

NO 1LE had air - it's NOT a 1LE if it has air

All the 1LE code designates is the front brakes. More 1LE cars had A/C and other options, than were stripped down race cars... TTAs, B4Cs, Firehawks, all were 1LE cars. Pontiac 1LEs often were available with all the usual options. The standard Z28 1LE was the only one that was really all that stripped down.

Also most of what gives the 1LE it's performance is the standard equipment that came on 350 and 305 TPI 5spds in those years. There's nothing special about the 1LE code that makes them faster, they just got larger brakes.

Thank you for all your help, just to add some evidence to some of the debates on here.

I have a 1991 Z-28 with a 350 TPI, AC, Posi Rear Axle, Dual Cat exhaust, Bigger sway bars and bushings, and 4 discs (non 1LE, that I know of)

According to the White Book, the base price was 15,445.00 which included delivery and handling but not sales tax. Obviously, any options were extra.

Tell that to the two 1988 cars that started the whole 1LE thing. They also have fog lights!

Ive seen a few 91 and 92 z window stickers, and with the options you described they were normally around the 19-20K range.
