Spare tire inflator labels are hard to find...

I've searched the net exhaustively to find a replacement label for the space saver tire inflator in my 85 IROC-Z, coming up empty. I can find up to the 77 model years but nothing later.

It's an adhesive label (water based?) that wraps around the cardboard insulator that surrounds the CO2 inflator cartridge.

If anyone has a source for this label, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks in advance.

I never found one either. Mine is just the cardboard now. If we got good pics of all the way around it, we could piece together the pics & recreate the label & make new ones.

The hardest part would be scanning a round decal... I've got a couple of the canisters around here somewhere with good decals, but it'd be really hard to scan without removing the label and flattening it out.

It might be easier just to petition Classic Industries to make a reproduction. The only way that these companies will make the parts is if we let them know there is a market.

Re: Spare tire inflator labels are hard to find...

Thanks all for responding. Pic from IrocTopless is the correct size and label. Years ago I worked for a compressed gas company and fire extinguisher company and refilled many of these - very simple, very cheap. I exchanged my almost perfect labeled canister for one without, never thinking I may want the better label years later when I want to show the car. Now I can't get a replacement label. I'm thinking eventually Classic or Year One will make a repro. As it's been said, if they know there is a demand, they will make one. If anyone finds a supplier, please return post for a sincere thanks and well done.

Not sure I understand the dilemma. When you show the car, the spare tire and the canister will be under the side panel. What shows are you going to that has you open all panels?

My guess, probably just bragging rights. Which is OK.

I checked mine out as my car is 100% original. I didn't see the canister it must be behind the spare.

It goes inside the spare, usually on the side facing the 1/4 panel so you won't usually see it.
