Help me understand what's what on the Factory GM T-top weather stripping
I see various names for pieces of the T-top weatherstripping thrown around (weather stripping for the removable T-tops themselves), and I want to make sure I know what's what, and don't miss anything, because mine are completely shot, especially on the passenger side.
AFAIK, there are basically two parts to the T-top weatherstripping, not including the metal retainer which is wedged in there somewhere; there is the part that I commonly see referred to as the "drip rail", then there is the actual piece of weatherstripping itself (which IIRC is angle cut...?)...But then there's a third part, the part that you might like to hit with Armor-all, that is to say the very hard rubber/plastic part that actually meets the glass of the T-Top.
So, help me out here, on a T-top we have--
1) The hard plastic part, the upper most part, shown in this picture (the faded out part on the edge of the T-top, bottom edge of the T-top in the picture):

^^^Sometimes you'll see people paint this part body color.
2) Then below that, we have the "drip rail" or "side rail strip":

http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ca...kit8piece.aspx
^^^Is this the part that always rots away and pulls away from the T-top as it deteriorates?
3) Then below the above, tucked away in the lowest position, we have AFAIK the actual weather stripping piece (angle cut, which seems to not be shown in the picture):

Is the above correct?
Also, if so, is what I listed in 1) above permanently affixed to the T-top, or is this a removable part?
Thanks.

That is how it is, however I don't think you can remove the top piece. I'm pretty sure it's built into the top itself. The other two are removable because I've changed them both on mine. When I bought my car #2 was missed completely from the drivers side and was half way gone on the passenger.
