Any body ever seen one of these?

I'd never seen or even heard of it. I thought it was pretty cool.

Is Stephen stirring the pot again? LOL
I didn't notice the stick on fenders the first time either. On the second viewing it was a WTF moment. Unless someone buys the brochure and translates it for us we'll probably never know. For all we know they had to trim the steel sheet metal back to make the car fit in a cargo container. LOL

Call it what you will Drew.....I just started out correcting somebodies misinterpretation of another persons post. He decided to make it "personal".
So what are YOU doing in here posting what you did, besides "stirring the pot"?

Re: Japanese brochure
The fender flares may be part of some japanese vehicle requirements. Maybe something like here in the US you have to use flares if your tires stick out past the fenders (body must cover tire to avoid throwing rocks). Or, maybe just some awful-looking dealer option.
Every country has it's own little oddity vehicle rules. Notice the (hideous) euro folding mirrors. Also, the GTAs have standard firebird tail lights because most european countries require rear turn signals to be amber.

Re: Japanese brochure
C4 Corvettes have the same type of flares too in japan, basically grand sport flares front and rear. I looked at a trans am gta in the UK not too long ago which had these and the owner took them off.
In Japan there are more oddities, some C4 corvettes have a warning light that is switched by a temp switch in the exhaust indicating that the exhaust is hot, maybe indicating you should not park on combustible surfaces like dry grass. My 90 corvette which I imported from Japan didn't have this though and neither had the flares
