84 Trans Am window switches

Just bought an 84 Trans Am yesterday and it has electric windows but no switches. Where can i find these? Called all salvage yards within 100 miles but no luck.

Try the dealer... For some reason I want to say a 84 T/A would be the same as most thirdgen Camaros. I haven't bought any recently, but they were only about $11 each 6 years ago.

Re: 84 Trans Am window switches

All 82-92 camaro and firebird are interchangeable, it's just the button color and style thats slightly different. 82-84 firebird is all black, 85-92 firebird is grey. Check out hawks, or ebay.

These are the correct ones, but again, you can use any 82-92 camaro or firebird switch if you're not concerned about originality.

Re: 84 Trans Am window switches

I have those exact switches in both of my irocs.I love the ones that say up/down on them.Problem is I can only touch them on the edges so as not to have the print wear off

I always assumed they were the same, since I've never seen an early Firebird that had anything printed on the switches.

If you don't want to spend the $37 bucks EACH from Hawks you
should check out thirdgen ranch for some used ones cheap!

Look here for $7 bucks each !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive actually seen those switches in some early camaros 82-83.The early ones have flat ends as opposed to the later style which have an indent and a raised part.Mine were swapped in and are not original to the cars.I have some mint camaro switches in white and yellow but much rather have the up/down ones. All third gen window switches originally came with some sort of print including the 85-92 grey firebird switches.I know most of them had the print fade away from use and its kinda rare to find them used with the print intact like the ones I have
