my car has the D88 rpo code but i don't see any stripes anywhere. anyone have pics of these stripes? i also have a code 74A DK RED STRIPE. i dont know what that is. thanks for any help. my car is a 1984

Stripe Color, Accent, Two Tone, Black/Red (91)

The problem with the stripe RPO codes is that they were reused year after year. If GM decided to not use a specific color for that code one year, they would reuse the code for another color. When looking at most decoders, the (91) at the end denotes the RPO code use in 1991. Unfortunately, I don't know what the color combo was in 1984 for 74A

so were the stripes along the bottom. i want to repaint my car and if it had stripes i want to put stripes back on it. i just need a good idea of what they look like. i'm guessing they were dark red. thanks again guys

Yup. Looks like GM would make a new code if altering anything on the product don't it?

What is the original color of the car? What is the interior color? There are a few different options available if the car was originally white (your avatar). The 74 is usually a red of some sort so I would think that the interior is red and the car would look like this:
