where to buy new rear hatch hinge bolts?

My bird is in for paint now and I got all new weatherstripping and lots of new hardware for it. What I haven't been able to find is replacement bolts for the rear hatch hinges. It's the 4 bolts that have the plastic cap build into them that show on the top of the hatch. Mine were all very faded and cracked. I can try to find decent ones and repaint them if i have to, but I'd prefer to buy new ones that are ready to go.

Does anyone know of a vender that sells them? Or do you know the GM part number for them?

thanks! I didn't catch them the first time around. $8.50 a piece is brutal though. I might have to find some decent used ones to repaint.

Dont paint them, they are some kind of soft/flexible plastic caps. If they are that bad that they need paint I'm sure the bolt is rusted and will look just like the ones you have now in short order.
I found plenty of good used ones at the junkyard a month ago, off of 90 up cars. 3 of them looked brand new to me.

Mine seemed to have fairly hard plastic caps, maybe they were just extremely dried out. I'll probably do the same as you. First I'll verify the condition of the one on my new hatch now (went from a defroster hatch to non-defrost, so I had 2 lying around) at the shop but I think they're fairly faded too. Then I'll search local yards and see if I can pick some out in like-new condition. It's just hard to justify spending $40 on new hatch bolts.

I hear ya. I was not even sure they were available from anyone. I might have some extras, I dont remember how many I picked up but I need 4 and I may have more than that.
