'83 Z28 LU5 CFI
Hello, My name is Jim. Back in 1991 I bought a red '83 Z-28. It had 32,000 miles on it. 305ci with Cross Fire injection. It was a good looking car, but it needed repainted. The paint on one side had faded to a nice pinkish color. So in '92 I had it painted the original shade of Camaro red. I live in Ohio, so I always put it away for the winter. Its never seen snow since I've had it. Theres been a few years I just kept it stored. Its got T-tops, power everything. As of right now it has 56,000 miles on it.
I just got it out and running after sitting in my garage for about 30 months. I had my mechanic check it over, change all the fluids , give it a checkup basically.
The last two days I have been driving it around. I feel like a kid with a new toy. I had forgotten the raw power this car has. My josh what a great feeling. This car was like a thoroughbread that had been caged up and wanted to run. I got it out on the highway and it just wanted to go...........
Its had the radiator replaced and a few other minor things, but over all this has been a great running car.
Its outlasted 4 girlfriends and a ex-wife. If it could cook I think I'd marry it......![lmao](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif)

Clean 83, but you should put the orginal wheels back on it. It would look alot nicer.

Re: '83 Z28 LU5 CFI
It's nice to see another '83 CFI Z that is certainly sharp looking. It looks like she has the Camaro lettered interior which is about the only option my '83 doesn't have. It's sad to hear what happened to your original wheels. I'm curious about the GFX color was it silver or charcoal (along with the wheels)?

Thank you. If I remember correctly the GFX were silver. The wheels were stock Z-28 rims. I'll try to post better pics after I get her cleaned up real nice, the interior needs cleaned up and she needs a good waxing and buffing.

Looks to be in excellent shape, I think you should find a set of origional rims and puttem back on. Those rims don't do it any favors. Other than the rims excellent looking car!

Yes, that is a sharp looking car. Is that a rear wiper I see on the hatch?
I too think it would look better with the original 15 inch wheels. Too bad Goodyear no longer makes an Eagle GT tire for the 15 inch wheels.
It will be interesting to see some photos of the interior and engine compartment.

Tirerack.com has these that were the optional tire for the 15 inch rims.
