What' gives i've been tracking this car for the last few days, eventually decided i would not participate in the bidding as im too far away, but what gives its only at 2k im curious to see what it will sell for, has anyone else came across this car, im sure the lack of documentation is hurting the car but its a nice car regarless

I think you misread. It has 183,000 miles and looks a little rough.

Re: 91 z28 1LE for sale
The pics are hard to see, so it's not a good sales presentation. But from what I can see the body on that car looks very rough. Too much bondo and amateur bodywork.
I'm guessing it's a B4C/1LE because it looks like a factory air car to me. In that case, it's not as rare as a "true" 1LE (non-AC). For the amount of effort and expense needed to undo the poor bodywork and bring this car up to fine condition, you would be better off in the long run spending more to get a nice, clean, lower mileage B4C.
That being said, at that price, I could definitely see buying it just for the 1LE parts to modify a regular F-body.

Re: 91 z28 1LE for sale
Well, I might have to correct myself about it being a B4C/1LE. It does appear to be a Z28; I had forgotten that the B4C/1LE cars were all RS models.
After studying the microscopic pictures further, the A/C does not appear to have the factory style compressor or hose routing. So it could very well be a factory "true" 1LE that has been converted to A/C.
That being said, I still think that a car this rough would not be cost effective to restore, and is probably best used as a donor for the 1LE parts.

Yea in the tiny tiny pics it doesnt look like that is factory A/C. Hes got a pic of a 1le RPO sticker on there though. Supports his story somewhat if it matches the vin. There would also be a few other modifications by the police if they bought this car to use as an interceptor. Nontheless if its got all the 1le parts id buy it just for them.

i also have a 91 rs B4c non 1le i mistook the mileage sorry, but still to be able to own a low productions # 3rd gen even if it needs some work is far better then buying a reg rs car or z28 that has less miealege but are so abundent imo. i wish pics were bigger though now to check the final selling price...

AC is RPO C60. It's coincidental that C60 should be seen in the little piece of SPID label posted. He does disclose that the AC is not factory and the SPID backs that up.
